Temple, statue relief
These reliefs depict Nile gods uniting
Egypt. Bellow them there are the African and Asian slaves captured
in the Empire's battles.
At our left (between the Giant Ramses II statues), there is the
entrance to the Grand Hall. The entire temple was carved into the rock. As you will see, this is a rather long temple. I wonder how they could
carve the mountain 3,000 years ago, but it is even more amazing how
experts could carve the entire Temple out of the cliff and reconstruct
it some yards above its initial location in 1964. Let's get in ...
