7/36.- Abu Simbel, Abu Simbel Temple, statues

In much smaller size, between the feet of Ramses II appear statues of his sons, daughters and wives. Among others there are statues of Prince Amenhirkhopshef, the Kings mother Muttuya, Princess Bent'anta and, of course, of his favorite wife: Queen Nefertari. Ramses II dedicated to this wife not only a small statue, but a complete temple: the Temple of Nefertari, also called the Temple of Hathor.
