The Trianon is the name of the small palace king Louis XIV ordered to construct in order to flee from the royal ceremonials. The Grand Trianon was designed by Louis Le Vau in 1670. He covered the walls of this building with ceramic tiles. In 1687 the King Sun decided to change the palace's look, and replaced the porcelain decoration with marble.
Something you should not miss if you ever come here, are the beautiful gardens, decorated with sculptures and fountains.
