The main tourist attraction in the present Harran are the beehive houses which are still built the same as 3000 years ago, mud houses, no wood, conical shaped. There are exhibit houses for tourists and you can visit it inside, take pictures even buy a Palestinian Kaffyieh (headdress worn by Palestinian men) as a symbol of solidarity. From Harran where we saw the sunset (remember that on Mount Nemrut we saw sunrise the same morning) at the citadel, we drove back to Sanliurfa for dinner. The next morning we did the trip back to Goreme, but many in our group stayed on in Urfa or went to another destination in Turkey. We stopped at Adana Birecik which is famous with its bald Ibis birds. After Adana we drove up to the Taurus Mountains, had lunch at Tekir then drove back to Goreme, all in all 8 hours on the road. And this is how we get to the end of these Turkish tours.
