Blanes is the first town in the Costa Brava. It lies 70 km north of Barcelona between the towns of Malgrat de Mar and Lloret.
As you can see, Blanes has a wonderful bay with two big beaches, 'Platja Gran' and 'S'Abanell'. In the middle of the bay there are two big rocks 'La palomera' and the 'Palomereta'.
The construction of big apartment blocks has stolen part of the beauty to the town, but it has brought wealth to its citizens.
