7.- Tossa de Mar, blue waters


The translation for Costa Brava is "wild" or "rough" Coast. In the picture you can see the rocks that gave the name to this coast. The origin of this name is quite recent. Catalan intellectuals chose 'Costa Brava' to promote tourism at the beginning of the 20th century.

As you see water is clear and clean here. If you are a certified diver, bring your license with you. The Costa Brava is one of the best places to practice scuba diving in the Mediterranean. North of Tossa is Estartit, with the amazing 'Illes Medes', a unique underwater natural park.
