This “concert building” (“Concertgebouw” in Dutch) opened in 1888 and is considered one of the best in the world because of its very good acoustics. Its resident orchestra, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra (Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest), is also among the best orchestras in the world.
