60 miles south of Hanoi (90 km), lies the town of Ninh Binh. This city is famous for the Tam Coc cave, for its rice fields, and for the Cuc Phuong National Park.
The city can be reached from Hanoi in two hours. If you are traveling around Vietnam, you can stop here on the way to Hanoi from Hue, or on the way to Hue from Hanoi.
Anyway, this is a place you should not skip in a travel to North Vietnam. People compare the beauty of the Tam Coc cave with the landscapes in Ha Long Bay. In some of the tour agencies in Hanoi it is advertised as the Halong Bay on land.
If you come with me, I will give you a sneak preview of this place.
