32/37.- Palmyra, desert castles

The desert castles are located on the Northeast of Syria. There is no public transport to get there. In order to visit them you have to join an organized tour, or rent a taxi for a few days.

In my opinion the visit to these castles is not really worth it, unless you have plenty of time. There are other parts of the country much more interesting, but this is just my opinion.
