Palmyra has a typical desert climate, with very hot summers and cold winters. The coldest months are December, January and February (from 0º to 15º C). The hottest months are July, August and September (from 20º to 40º). The best seasons to visit Palmyra, and the rest of Syria, are Spring and Fall.
