13/37.- Palmyra, Tower Tomb of Elahbel

The biggest and best preserved of these tower tombs is the Tower of Elahbel. It dates back to the first century BC. The tower had capacity for more than 300 bodies in its four storeys.

In order to access the tomb, which opens only three times a day, you have to purchase a ticket at the Museum of Palmyra. If you visit the area on a guided tour, they will provide you with a ticket.
