Along White Beach you will find more than 20 diving schools. They all offer similar services at the same prices. I recommend you visit three or four of them, and join the one you like. You can visit the school in the afternoon, and go scuba diving the next day first thing in the morning. It is not necessary that you bring your own equipment, schools have packets with everything included.
