In fact one of the city's main tourist attractions is Toyota, Japan's leading car manufacturer. Toyota headquarters are located in the city of Toyota, one hour east of Nagoya. If you are interested in new models, you can take a Toyota Kaikan Exhibition Hall's tour. You will have to book well in advance (2 weeks, at least), though. To get to the Toyota headquarters, you have to take a bus to Toyota Kinen Byoin, and get off at the Toyota Honsha-mae stop.
In Central Nagoya there is also a Toyota Technology Museum (15 minutes from Nagoya Station), with displays on the history of the brand; and the Toyota Automobile Museum (Geidaidori Station), with cars from Europe, America and Japan.
