12/22.- Wallonia: Falaën: fortified farm

The 17th-century fortified farm of Falaën hugs the summit of one of the hills above the Molignée Valley. Half of the castle is still part of an agricultural exploitation; the other half is devoted to the arts and other cultural and gastronomic activities. The architecture adopts the traditional pattern in which the farm buildings enclose a courtyard, but here, the corners and gate are fortified with towers.
