Since the development of Oporto was closely connected with the left margin of River Douro, the proposal for World Heritage included also the highly significant Luis I Bridge --we have been there a moment ago, remember?--, built by Theophile Seyrig --a disciple of Gustav Eiffel--, and the prominent building of the Augustinian Convent of Serra do Pilar.
