39/43.- Lyon, Parc de la Tete d'Or, the Rose Garden

The Rose Garden was the part of the park that I most liked. In this garden there are more than 30,000 rose bushes, with more than 350 varieties of this beautiful flower. In this photo you can see part of this Rose Garden. There are two more rose gardens in the park. One is in the botanical garden, where the history of this flower is explained, the other is the competition garden, where new varieties of roses are cultivated to take part in international competitions.

Behind the trees at the left, you can see part of the building of the 'Cite intenationale'.
