10/43.- Lyon, Basilique Notre-Dame, statue

The people of Lyon dedicated this basilica to its patron saint: the Virgin Mary. The Fourvière Basilica has two naves. The main one --the one we have just visited-- and a second nave under this one. This other nave is not so spectacular, but it is also worth a visit, it is called the St. Joseph Crypt.

If you come to Lyon, but do not have enough time to visit the city on your own, you can buy a "Bus tour of Lyon with Philibert" in the city Tourist Office. These buses offer a quick view of the city --Vieux Lyon, Croix-Rousse, Fourvière Hill and a panoramic view of the city.
