2/26.- Excursions from Glasgow. Ayr, Tam O'Shanter Inn
Ayr is a popular destination for both tourists and locals alike.
If you're a fan of Rabbie Burns, (and who isn't?!), you'll recognize
the name of the Inn. Tam O'Shanter is one of Burns's famous
masterpieces that describes the adventure of a drunken horseman's
fervent attempt to elude the demons chasing closely behind him.
I'm sure you'll also recognize another of Burn's well-known
works, " Auld Lang Syne" which is sung all over the
world at the New Year. Are you read to sing? Doesn't really
matter that it's not the 31st of December. After three. One,
two, three:
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne?
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
