In the heart of the Old Town, sits the oldest square in Geneva, Place du Bourg-de-Four. A nice square with some terraces. After a day of walking this is a nice place to enjoy a soft drink.
Most part of the "Vieille Ville" (= Old Town) is closed to the traffic. Making of this the perfect place to stroll and enjoy the rich ethnicity of the town. The political neutrality of Switzerland has helped this city become a global meeting place. Thousands of people from all over the world live in Geneva. Many of them work in the more than 200 international humanitarian organizations that have their headquarters here. English, as well as German, Spanish and Italian, are widely spoken. The Official language of this canton is French.
