3/45.- Provence: Sunflowers

The fields of sunflowers add a joyful, sunny touch to the countryside -- at least, when the flowers are in full bloom.  Towards the end of the summer, when the flowers stand dry on their stems, they are a much sorrier sight. 

Other products of Provence are rice, honey, melons and many kinds of other fruit.
