2/46.- Bassin de Thau, view from Mont Saint Clair

The Bassin de Thau stretches from Mont Saint Clair, near the town of Sète, to the Cap d'Agde (the hill visible at the horizon). Between these two extremities, a narrow sand bar offers 20 km of sparkling beaches. The rest of it is occupied by a road, a railroad track, vineyards, saltworks and several tourist facilities (campsites, hotels, restaurants, supermarkets etc.).
