12/38.- Budapest, Fishermen’s Bastion

The Fishermen’s Bastion was completed in 1905 in the place where there used to be a fish market --yep, that’s where the name of this place comes from. The Bastion is just behind Matthias Church, and it’s a beautiful work. But the best part of it, is the great view you have from here. The monument and the city landscape were declared part of UNESCO’s World Heritage sites in 1988, and believe me, it’s a well deserved honor.
