11/38.- Budapest, Matthias Church 2

In the second half of the 19th century the Church was rebuilt in neo-Gothic style. The church has excellent acoustics, so it’s not strange that many concerts take place here. Inside the church you can also admire some interesting collections of goldsmiths’ masterpieces, stones and relics.

In 1874, the defense status of this district was lifted. Soon after, a decorative stair was constructed: the Fishermen’s Bastion. Let’s take a look at it ...
