2/38.- Bordeaux,
Porte de Bourgogne
Bordeaux historic center is small enough to be
visited on foot, the tour can be done in one day. But if
you can, you should stay in Bordeaux several days, in
order to visit some of the famous vineyards in the region
and to have time to visit the city's museums.
The 'Porte de Bourgogne' sits at the end of the
Victor Hugo Avenue, where once one of the city's gates
stood. At our left we have the 'Quartier de la
Rousselle', with its middle age houses, at our right we
have the 'Quarter Saint-Michel', which we will visit
later, and in front of us we have the 'La Garonne' river
and the famous 'Pont de Pierre' ...
