Barcelona, Barceloneta
To finish the Photographic Tour of Barcelona, I chose a picture of
the 'Barceloneta' district. This neighborhood sits in front
of the beach, close to the harbor and the Rambla. This used
to be a fishermen district, but after many decades of abandon,
it became a dangerous place. But things have changed lately.
Barceloneta is becoming an expensive place to live. Since many
foreigners want a flat next to the beach, real estate prices
have sky rocketed here.
In the avenue that faces the port, Av. Joan de Borbo, are some
of the best sea food restaurants in Barcelona. If you want to
have a 'paella' or a 'fideua', this is the place to go.
On the following page you will
see a landscape photo taken from one of the best lookouts in Barcelona:
the Tibidabo Hill.
