Avignon, Musee du Petit Palais
The 'Petit Palais' (=Small Palace) is where the popes used to
live before Benedict XII constructed the Popes Palace. Currently this
building hosts a museum, the 'Musée du Petit-Palais'. In this
museum there is a collection of paintings from the Italian schools
of the 13th to the 16th centuries, 15th century paintings done in
Avignon and some galleries with Roman and Gothic sculptures. The Small
Palace Museum is open daily from 9:30 AM through 12 AM and from 2
PM through 6 PM.
