Not far from Mulhouse, the Ecomuseum near Ungersheim offers a stunning overview of traditional Alsatian farm and town architecture.  The interest of the open-air museum is not only architectural: the farms and houses are filled with old-time artifacts, and in the high season, various artisans demonstrate their trades and skills.
