17/30.-Perfume Pagoda, peasants on a bike

In this picture you can see a couple of local farmers on a bike. Life in Vietnam's countryside is hard. On the way to the Perfume Pagoda -- first hour in the morning ---, I saw farmers working on the rice fields. And when I got back --almost dusk ---, they were still there.

Farmers' salaries are extremely low. With the money they get, they can only buy food. For this reason, many farmers migrate to the big cities. Where, if they are lucky, they can make some decent money.
