16/30.-Perfume Pagoda, boat tour

To get back on the minibus, you take one of the boats. Once you get back to your destination the man that has rowed the boat will ask for a tip. You are free to give him something. Most of the times, the rower will tell you that he has not received any money from you, but remember that your tour guide should have paid him for his services. In my case, there were two other people on my boat, we decided to give the man a small tip. He did not accept it. He said the tip was too low. We did not think it twice. We kept our money, and went away. It is hard to do this, when you think of how low local salaries are, but inflation is already a big problem in Vietnam.
