Ko Lanta is a district that consists of several islands in the southwest coast off mainland Thailand. The two largest islands are Ko Lanta Noi and Ko Lanta Yai. The latter is the main tourist destination in the Lanta District.

Lanta Yai is famous for its paradisiacal beaches, for its laid back ambient and for its scuba diving sites.
