A visit to the various hillside tea plantations of the Mao Kong area is another excellent activity (especially during the extremely hot and humid summer months when the constant cool breezes are a true delight). Nearly all plantations have their own shops where free samples of their products are handed out to prospective customers. A Cable car system running from the Taipei Zoo MRT station to Sanxuan Temple (in the middle of the Maokong teahouse area), with stops at Taipei Zoo and Zhinan Temple, is scheduled to open in April 2007.
