Malaysia is a country located in Southeast Asia. Mainland Malaysia borders with Thailand, North, and Singapore, South. In Borneo Island, Malaysia borders with Indonesia and the tiny state of Brunei. Malaysia is a wonderful country. It shares the low prices, the warmth, the safety and the great cuisine with its neighboring Southeast Asian neighbors, but its travel infrastructures are much better.

25 million people live in Malaysia, most of them are Malays, but there is also a big Chinese and Indian community. The federation official religion is Islam, and Malay its official language. English, Chinese and Tamil are widely spoken.

Malaysia has a tropical climate, with warm temperatures all year round. On the east coast the rainy season is from November through February. On the west coast August is the wettest month.

The best way to get to Malaysia is by plane. Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) has plenty of intercontinental and regional flights. You can also get to Malaysia by train or bus from Thailand.

To move around Malaysia you can take trains, buses or rent a car. For longer distances, flights, which are rather cheap, are also an option.

KL is a wonderful city, which surprised me for its beauty. The jewel of the crown is, of course, the Petronas Twin Towers, one of the tallest buildings in the world.

Located in Borneo, its main attractions are Mont Kinabalu, the Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park, the surrounding tropical rainforests, the city itself and its friendly people.

Singapore

The city's main tourist attractions are the skyscrapers in Raffles Place, the old quarters of Chinatown and Little India, and the resort island of Senatosa. But one of the main reasons to come to Singapore is shopping.
