Some nice day trip from Tokyo are: Nikko, in the mountains to the north of the city; Fujisawa, Japan's Miami Beach; The Hakone National Park, with shrines at the shores of a lake; Kamakura, one of Japan's ancient capitals; and of course, Mount Fuji.
