13/25.- Nara, Todaiji Temple, Buddha

The Great Buddha's Hall (or Daibutsu-den) is the largest Wooden structure in the world. It is here that Daibutsu, the largest statue of Buddha in Japan is.

In the picture you can see the sitting statue of Vairocana Buddha. The statue is more than 30 meters high, and weighs more than 250 tons.
