14/32.- Hiroshima, Gokoku Shrine

In the picture you can see the interior of the Hiroshima Gokoku Jinja Shrine.

Gokoku Shrine is very crowded on the first three days of the year, when Japanese come here to celebrate the Hatsumode Festival.

Gokoku Shrine is also the most popular place in Hiroshima for celebrating the Shichi-Go-San Festival. This Festival takes place on November 15th, when three and seven year-old girls and three and five year-old boys dressed in Kimonos are taken to the shrine to be photographed with their families.
