Hiroshima is a city for learning first hand more about one of the saddest events in history, but there is also a modern Hiroshima that one can enjoy. Hiroshima is famous in Japan for its cuisine and for its quality of life.

Today Hiroshima is a hectic and cosmopolitan city with a population of more than one million people. The city is the financial and industrial center of the Chugoku region.
