5/18.- Mandawa, Haveli interior

The painted havelis are Mandawa's main tourist attraction. The houses used to belong to the rich local merchants, from the times when the Silk Route passed through the town. Each family used to decorate its house with lively colors, in order to cheer up the life of the owners and visitors.
