Kanyakumari is a town in the state of Tamil Nadu, located at the southern most tip of India, where the three great seas of India converge: The Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean.
The town got its name from the Goddess Kanya Kumari, the Virgin, to whom a big temple by the sea is dedicated. Other attractions of Kanyakumari are the Vivekananda Rock and the Thiruvalluvar Statue, in the picture.
