39/40.- Xian, Modern Mall

In the center of Xian, next to the Bell Tower, you find a modern mall. Here you find some fast food restaurants, food courts, and fashion shops.

The best way to get to and from Xian from other Chinese cities is by train or by plane. There is an airport 15 miles northeast of Xian, the Xian Yang International Airport. The best way to get from the airport to Xian is by taxi. Second best is with the official airport bus that departs from the Train Station.

Another good option to get to Xian is by train. I recommend the night train. Buy a soft sleeper ticket, take the train in the afternoon from Beijing or Shanghai, and you will wake up in Xian the next morning.
