34/35.- Tibetan Sichuan, Kangding

Kangding is the main gateway to the region of Tibetan Sichuan. The city itself has some points of interest, but most visitors come here only to start a trip to Tibet.

Kangding has some good hotels and restaurants.

If you want to visit the region of Tibetan Sichuan and Yunnan, I recommend around one week. Organized tours are not cheap, but they include almost everything (food, accommodation, guide, driver and car). Apart from souvenirs, you should not count on spending anything.
