The area of Pudong is filled with high buildings. New ones are under construction. If things do not change, in a few years there will be more skyscrapers here than in Manhattan!

Among other reasons why this city is changing so fast, there is the World Expo. Shanghai will host the 2010 World Exhibition. And Chinese leaders want the world to marvel at its achievements.
