Shanghai has cold winters and hot summers. The best time to visit is late spring and early fall. This is a humid city because of the river. Most days the air is hazy because of the pollution. Do not expect to see many days with a clear blue sky during your stay. But if it is cloudy or rainy when you get here, do not despair, even the weather changes rapidly in Shanghai!
