16/43.- Shanghai, Site of the Congress of the Communist Party of China

Next to Xintiandi is one of the attractions in Shanghai that draws most visitors, the Site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

In this beginning of the 20th century building, on July 23 1921, the first national congress of the Communist Party of China took place, where the Party was born.

Nowadays the building hosts a Museum with Communist Propaganda. On the first floor everything is placed as it stood more than 80 years ago. On the second floor there is an exhibition with documents, and photos. There is also a hall with wax reproductions of the founders of the Party, among them the Great Leader, Mao Zedong.
