5/43.- Shanghai, Skyline

The next place I recommend visiting in Shanghai is the Bund, a waterfront promenade with spectacular views of the Pudong district.

The two main landmarks, currently, in Pudong are the Jin Mao Tower, one of the tallest buildings in the world, and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. I will later give you more information about them.

I recommend visiting the Bund just before sunset. Walk along the promenade for a while, and wait for the sunset. As soon as the sun is no more to be seen on the horizon, the lights of the financial district's buildings make the night view of the skyline from the Bund one of Shanghai's main attractions.

If you want to live the experience at its most, take one of the tourist boats. If you want to go off the beaten track , take one of the local ferries that cross the river.
