8/30.- Hong Kong, Legislative Council Building, Central
One of the nicer remnants of early 20th century architecture here in Central, almost lost amidst
the steel-and-glass skyscrapers, is this: the Legislative Council Building. It was built in 1912 in
neo-classic style and was the home of Hong Kong's Supreme Court until 1985. Now it houses
the Legislative Council, the 60-member, democratically-elected Parliament of Hong Kong.
