In the picture you can see one of the towers in the Forbidden City wall. Before I say good bye, let me give you some practical information about Beijing.

The climate in Beijing is continental, with cold and dry winters, and hot summers. January is the coldest month and July is the warmest. Winter usually begins towards the end of October. The summer months, June to August, are wet and hot. The best time to visit is late spring and early fall.

Beijing has an international airport, the Beijing Capital International Airport, which is 15 miles from the center. The easiest way to get to and from the airport is by taxi. Beijing taxis use meters. You can also get to the airport by public bus. There are lines that will take you to different points in the city center.

Beijing has several train stations. Two main ones: Beijing Railway Station, in the heart of Beijing, and the West Railway Station. And two small ones, Beijing North Railway Station and the South Railway Station.
