26/41.- Chiang Mai, Wat Chang Kum

In 1984, just outside Chiang Mai, archaeologists uncovered the remains of the ancient city of Wiang Kum Kam. Although most of the sites are not much more than platforms and ruined chedis, there are two working temples that date from the end of the thirteenth century. One is Wat Chang Kum (pictured).
