8/18.- Big Sur, Pacific Coast Highway

San Luis Obispo is halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco. SLO (as it is known) is one of the best places to fill up your tank.

If you want, you can complete the Big Sur tour from LA to San Francisco in only one day. The ride will take you around ten hours.

If you want to split the tour in two days, San Luis Obispo is a good place to sleep. The town has several upscale hotels and many motels. If you have time, you can visit the Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa.
