2/30.- Pink Jeeps, Sedona

There is a small airport in Sedona, but the chances are that you’ll fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor airport located about a two hour drive south. Sedona is at an elevation of some 4,300 feet and when I went in the month of January the temperatures were in the fifties and low sixties, a good ten degrees lower than in Phoenix. Sedona is small, so it’s really not difficult to explore. If you don’t have much time, one popular means of getting about to see the sights is to take a tour on one of the Pink Jeeps. There are also tour buses which will transport you around and about. The area surrounding Sedona is rugged, rocky, and ravishing.
