Bohio
Royal palms are the
accent points of all vistas in the Cuban countryside. The
'bohio' in the center is as natural to the land as the
trees. Bohios are the most typical of all dwellings in
rural districts. The frame is palm wood and the roof is
made of woven and overlaid palm fronds. The architecture
is pre-Columbian and may well be millennia old.
